1. What does periodontology mean? 2. Who is a periodontist? 3. When should we consult a periodontist? 4. What is periodontitis? 5. How is the treatment done? These are frequently asked questions by patients, to which we will answer.

1. Periodontology is a field that studies diseases of periodontal tissues, treatment and methods of maintaining them healthy. Periodontics is a complex of tissues that unites the soft and hard tissues around the tooth. Healthy periodontium determines the strength of the tooth in the bone.

2. A periodontist is a doctor who, after examining the oral cavity and using specially provided diagnostic methods, makes a diagnosis and establishes an individual treatment plan.

3. The most common reason for treatment is bleeding from the gums, swelling, unpleasant smell from the mouth, loosening of the teeth and consequently their loss after some time, as well as any kind of injuries on the mucous membrane.

4. Periodontitis is an inflammatory disease of periodontal tissues. There are many opinions as to what causes periodontal diseases. There may be different etiological factors, but it is established that bacterial bioapk is the cause of periodontitis, and the rest is a contributing factor. Genetic disposition plays a big role.

5. The treatment is carried out individually, depending on the diagnosis. The main goal of the treatment is to remove bacterial plaque, plaque, and stones from any surface of the tooth using modern methods. For this purpose, various subgingival and supragingival cleaning methods are provided with modern equipment. At the final stage, hyaluronic acid is introduced into the space between the tooth and the gum, it helps tissues in the recovery process. If periodontitis is not treated in time, the tooth will loosen and eventually lose
